This briquette plate sits under the chargrill plate and is host to the briquettes. It is a unique heat distribution medium that gives an even heat over the entire cooking area and reduces 'flare-up'. The heavy plate is made of cast iron and design to retain and regulate heat for better barbecuing results. It suits the PatioMate 2 and Heritage2/200 models and is also a good replacement to the lava rock tray and lava rocks used in earlier Sunshine 2 burner models.
